Welcome to the Russian Toy Club of America

In accordance with the approved Constitution & Bylaws, membership renewals are payable before the 1st day of June of each year and will be considered lapsed as of August 30th. This timeline has been delayed due to issues with the previous website and the club account changes to the new treasurer.

Please check back often for news on Club Events, Activites & News. Remember to check the Members_Only FB Group for updates.

If you are interested in joining the Russian Toy Club of America there are both Mail-In and Online Application. The Club accepts both check and PayPal.

Note: The use of Household accounts was eliminated in the Bylaws due to AKC advice, but since we determined the Household member can be added back when the revised Bylaws are approved by AKC, the Board and voted on by the Club Membership. Until that time a separate individual account will be required for each member of a household that desires to be an RTCA member.

The

Russian Toys

The Russian / Russkiy Toy is a little dog with an impish, yet delightful personality and are considered one of the smallest breeds in the world.  They are are low coat maintenance, great lap companions and wonderful bed dogs who might sleep under the sheets. Their silly antics can brighten your day while making you have a good chuckle. The Russian toy is also a good little watch dog.  They will let their family know if a stranger has arrived who might carry off the valuables in your home.

A well socialized Russian Toy can also be very suitable for performance competition, therapy and service work.

The Russian Toy comes in two coat varieties; the long and smooth. The Smooth Coat is close-lying and smooth to the touch, similar to that found in the or Manchester Terrier or Miniature Pinscher. When mature the Long Coat has silky featherings on the ears, a single coat no more than 2 inches long on their body, furnishings of both the forelegs and rear legs, with an well arched oval foot and a feathered sabre tail. Both versions of the breed are considered Russian Toys under the American Kennel Club breed standard, and are shown and can be bred together.

We cheerfully invite you to join in on the fun and activities as we celebrate the breed as a show dog, agility or obedience dog or just a wonderful pet. Come see for yourself why the Russian Toy Club of America is the fastest growing and stable Russian Toy Club in the United States!
